Meet your trainer

Sarah Surritt is the founder of Get Pawsitive Dog Training, a certified professional dog trainer and a graduate of the esteemed Karen Pryor Training Academy.

She has two decades of experience teaching 1000s of pet parents how to train their dogs using dog-friendly, force-free techniques so that they can create a relationship based on trust and uncover the path to owning a happy, well-behaved dog.  Sarah's teaching style is welcoming, easy-going, and positive.

A proud mom of her rescue dog Nick, she founded and leads the "Pawsitive Practices" volunteer training team with San Diego's local private Humane Society so that shelter dogs can receive hand-ons training to increase visibility and adoption rates.

Sarah is a wife, mom to 3 young boys, and caretaker of her personal menagerie of 25 suburban farm pets which includes her pet potbelly pig Toby.
